New Price Hike for Swisscom Subscriptions Starting April 2026

Following price increases from other providers in 2025, the market leader is now making a move: Swisscom has announced a price adjustment for several private customer subscriptions, effective April 1, 2026.

News Summary:

  • From April 1, 2026, monthly base fees for mobile, internet, TV, and landline services will increase.

  • Increase of 1.90 CHF/month for Mobile and Internet plans.

  • Increase of 0.90 CHF/month for TV and Landline packages.

  • Check your bill: Swisscom has included a specific notice on the first page of the invoice.

  • Special cancellation right: Impacted customers can terminate their subscription without penalty until March 31, 2026.

Why is Swisscom raising prices and by how much?

Swisscom justifies this decision by citing the massive investments required to maintain network leadership (1.7 billion CHF in 2025 alone). Due to rising energy and labor costs, the prices will be adjusted as follows:

Subscription Type

Monthly Increase

Mobile Plan (e.g., blue Mobile)

+ 1.90 CHF

Internet Plan (e.g., blue Internet)

+ 1.90 CHF

TV Plan (e.g., blue TV)

+ 0.90 CHF

+ 0.90 CHF

Note on discounts: If you have a "fixed price" promotion (e.g., 59.90 CHF for one year), the price will not change until the promo expires. For percentage or specific discounts (e.g., 25% or "We are Family"), the increase applies to the base price, resulting in a higher net cost.

What should I do now as a Swisscom customer?

  1. Check your bill: Look for the notice on the front page of your Swisscom Bill. [Guide: How to read a Swisscom bill].

  2. Consider cancellation: You can exercise your special right to terminate by the end of March 2026 by contacting Swisscom inbound number or via other official channels.

  3. Compare alternatives: Cheaper options like Wingo are currently not affected by this specific hike.
