New Price Hike for Sunrise Subscriptions Starting August 2026

Following price increases from Swisscom (April 2026) and Salt (June 2026), Switzerland's second-largest operator is making its move: Sunrise has announced a price adjustment for all mobile and internet subscriptions for private and business customers, effective August 1, 2026.

News Summary:

  • From August 1, 2026, monthly base fees for Sunrise Mobile and Internet plans will increase.

  • Increase of CHF 1.50/month per primary subscription (private and business customers).

  • Increase of CHF 0.75/month per additional SIM under multi-mobile plans (e.g. Family Benefit) or combined Internet + mobile bundles (Home Benefit).

  • Yallo and Lebara also affected: increases ranging from CHF 0.50 to CHF 2.00/month depending on contract type.

  • How customers are notified: affected customers will be informed in writing via their bill starting June 1, 2026.

  • Not affected: Prepaid plans, device installment payments, Swype and CHmobile brands, Home Security, additional options (add-ons), and QoQa offers.

Why is Sunrise raising prices and by how much?

Sunrise cites rising energy, labor, and network infrastructure costs, alongside continuously growing data demand. The adjustment applies to both existing and new subscriptions activated after August 1, 2026.

  1. Check your bill: Starting June 1, 2026, Sunrise will include the official communication directly in your invoice. Check your next bill to see if you are among the affected customers.

  2. Consider cancellation: If you do not accept the increase, you have the right to exercise extraordinary termination without penalties during the period provided for in the written communication you will receive. To find out how to proceed, read our guide on subscription cancellation.

  3. Compare alternatives: If you are willing to switch operators, the Swiss market now offers numerous cheaper options.
