Salt Price Increase from June 2026: Which Plans Are Affected and What to Do

Following Swisscom (April 2026) and Sunrise (August 2026), Salt is the third major Swiss operator to adjust its tariffs: selected mobile subscriptions without a device will increase in price from June 1, 2026.
News Summary:
From June 1, 2026, prices increase on a selection of Salt Mobile plans without a device.
Increase of CHF 1.– or CHF 2.–/month depending on the plan.
Not affected: PrePay offers, plans with a device, add-on options, large business contracts, Salt Home Internet and TV.
Pending orders signed before June 1, 2026 are also excluded.
How customers are notified: directly by personalised e-mail and/or SMS before the effective date.
Good news: Salt is simultaneously improving its roaming coverage at no extra charge.

Salt cites over CHF 2.5 billion invested in its network over the last 10 years and a 50% increase in data consumption per customer over the past five years as the main drivers.

From June 1: Better Roaming Included
Alongside the price adjustment, Salt is expanding its Europe roaming zone to include previously excluded destinations — Bulgaria, Croatia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Slovenia — at no extra cost for customers with eligible plans. More flexible global roaming packages (weekly, monthly, annual) will also be introduced for customers without included roaming.

Check your e-mail and SMS: Salt communicates the adjustment directly to affected customers via e-mail and/or personalized SMS before June 1, 2026. If you do not receive anything, your plan may not be affected.

How much do Salt prices increase from June 1, 2026?
The increase is CHF 1.– or CHF 2.–/month depending on the plan. Plans with more extensive international roaming (Europe, Travel) increase by CHF 2.–, while base plans or those with Swiss coverage increase by CHF 1.–. Some plans like Swiss XXL and Swiss Travel remain unchanged.
Is my Salt PrePay subscription involved?
No. PrePay offers are expressly excluded from the adjustment, as are subscriptions with an included device, additional options, and contracts for large enterprises.
What happens to my discount if I have a reduced offer?
The discount remains unchanged in its absolute value and duration, including lifetime discounts. Only the reference list price increases.
I have a pending order signed before June 1, 2026. Am I affected?
No. Orders signed by June 1, 2026, even if activated later, are not subject to the adjustment.
How am I informed if my plan is affected?
Salt contacts affected customers directly via e-mail and/or personalized SMS before the effective date.
Does Salt Home (fixed internet and TV) increase as well?
No. Fixed network internet subscriptions with Salt Home 10 Gbit/s technology are not affected and remain available from CHF 39.95/month at least until 2028.
