Radio reaches 72% of the Swiss population aged 15 and over daily, with slight variations depending on the linguistic region:

Local/Regional Radio Signal Coverage Map


This map shows the coverage areas of regional and local private radio stations that have a performance mandate and participate in the license fee under Article 38 or 43 of the Swiss Federal Law on Radio and Television (LRTV).

What Changes with DAB+ Radio?

The DAB+ (Digital Audio Broadcasting Plus) Radio service is the evolution of FM radio and brings several changes including improved sound quality and coverage as well as reduced power consumption and additional features you can take advantage of with your radio reception system. 


Remember that in Switzerland, FM radio will be completely switched off by 2026, leaving room only for DAB+ and online streaming.
